so i'm watching the news this morning...and they start talking about deejays using laptops in clubs instead of the old skool fashioned vinyl. These deejays play downloaded mp3's and "mix" them using software. I have acually been to a club in croatia where this was the case...but didnt think much about it till now.
what are your opinions on this? Society is changing sooo much along with the technology. Do you think laptop dj'ing will be a more common thing among deejays in the future???
myself, i think laptop dj's are a joke:p no artform, even i can do it too on my laptop....takes away from the atmosphere...

Vinyl can not be replaced by mp3 yet (actually, nothing is better than vinyl).
I believe that, in a near future, it'll be a lot more common than nowadays to see a disc-jockey that uses no disc :p Will they be the big names? I don't think so, but future is often surprising  |
