Armin Only - Intense kicked off with a spectacular show in Amsterdams brand new Ziggo Dome. Both show dates were sold out very quickly. I was lucky enough to purchase the tickets the minute they went on sale. I booked a flight straight to Amsterdam for the weekend. Armin chose a different venue for his show this time, and it was just perfect. Ziggo Dome is a 17,000-seat multi-use indoor arena which opened in june 2012. It is located right by famous Amsterdam Arena (where Sensation is held) and right by Heineken Music Hall. Three superb venues in one location. (I ask myself, why can't we have one of those arenas built in New York?). The sound system in Ziggo Dome was insane. The floor was packed to the maximum.
Armin played for 6 hours (plus an extra hour of just pure classics). As with previous editions of AO, the first hour or so he was behind a sphere. The whole show was just...intense!lol with lots of live performances. The crowd was just Awesome, with so many people from all over the world. Everybody was just enjoying the show, the music. You seriously did not even need security in that place. They even let me in with a hi-def camcorder. (should have taken an SLR with me lol)
