What is the fastest way to choose and delete music files
A have too many mp3s
Now I am listening them one by one in Winamp or other program
Then alt tab, and delete in Explorer
But is there other way of direct delete the file
While it is playing, with one delete press ?
Just like I watch pictures in acdsee and press delete on every picture I don't like, and it is gone without any dialog
Thank you |

| You must lead an extremely efficient life. Or illegally download a huge quantity of music. |

and what's wrong with either of those? :stongue:
i have a lot of guff too, and go on clean up missions from time to time, OCD-style.
you can delete from within winamp, but it's not very fast... the REM button at the bottom, and delete physical file or something.
also, if you are deleting through windows, you can disable the delete confirmation if you right click on the recycle bin, and properties. one of the first things i do on a new windows install, removes an unnecessary step in the delete process. |

| Over here downloading music is (still) legal, even if the source is illegal :) Sharing however is illegal if it's not your own composition. |

if you play them in windows media player or iTunes, both of them ask you (the first time after install) whether you want to keep the file and only delete from playlist, or delete it from HD and playlist all together, when pressing delete. Dont need to explorer to do this. Let iTunes sort everything for you too to make a huge mess.
another solution is to find all the tracks you want in streaming applications and then melt your hard drive like they did with T800 (Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Series 800 Version 2.4 Infiltration-Combat Unit) in the end of Terminator 2. |
