Where do you live where they pump your gas for you in America thus you feel the need to tip them. Self Service has been around maybe two decades. |
i got yelled at for trying to pump my own gas in Oregon, apparently self serve is not allowed there. |

I have a friend in Portland and he schooled me on that no self service in that state. But for him he is used to it. I think it's a scam. A pump attendant has to make more than a waiter on an hourly wage. But Portland is kinda rich is it not. Wages are higher there so I guess they feel the people have the money to spend, I will facebook my friend Fredrick about this issue and see what the deal is as I forgot what he told me a long time ago about it. |

And yes, you tip more if a friend is waiting on you. Same goes if a bartender is waiting on you but usually you get so many free drinks that he counts as spills you still pay almost keyword almost as much as you paid for every drink but you're putting money in your friends pocket and he gives you a free drink here and there on your tab. Actually you end up paying less now that I think about it ut your buddy gets a bigger tip out in the end. |
You get more drinks
He gets more money
Less drinks go down the drain
Management are all :whip: about this though |

I don't know why, but everytime I read your sig, it starts out in the melody of "Dust in the wind". |
Now try to sing his signature fast enough to fit it into the melody of "Dust In The Wind." |

who the hell tips gas station attendants?
hasn't anyone ever noticed why full service is always more expensive per litre (gallon) that self serve?
No one tips @ full service stations. There is not even an option to do so if you pay with credit card (which i assume 99.9% of people do). |
