Antiloop (pg. 2)

Antiloop and 666 are two groups that make nice short 3 or 4 minute tracks that could be classified as the "pop" music of trance/hardhouse. Great to listen to sometimes. Since the tracks are shorter, more akin to what radio "pop" music listeners are used to, so they are really good for beginners to trance/hardhouse. Anyone know of any other groups similar to them that make shorter high-energy tracks?

My favourite Antiloop tracks are:
- Believe
- In My Mind
- Nowhere To Hide
- Start Rockin'
- Trespasser

My favourite 666 tracks are:
- Amokk!
- Bomba
and a few others... I haven't really listened to 666 in a while.

I've always considered Antiloop to be up there in the ranks with every other big trance artist out there... but how come they don't really get recognition in the trance scene? Never have I heard any of their songs in any live sets or anything... why is that?
FinnHawk
I think it's cuz their songs are too short (3-4 minutes), which makes them harder to mix, since they don't really include any intro bass beat or outro bass beat for mixing.
Unless, of course there *are* extended versions of their tracks, then I don't know why?

Sal
yeah its a great shame. I'd love to hear Antiloop stuff in the clubs cause their stuff is VERY good to dance to. I wish they would've released the album on vinyl or at least made the tracks longer.

There's an extended mix of "Only You"... now that's quality... good enough for the clubs... maybe too high-energy... lol

Yeah we all forgot about "Only you" thats theyr newest track...very good!
There are many mixes of their trax...i know that..they have even released a album called "Remixed" with some of the remixes of their trax. Extended versions and so on.
And i dont think you should compare 666 and antiloop....
really....no offence but 666 must be one of the worst electronic group i have ever heard....they do one track with some alarm melody and a guy screaming. Then they do the same track again but they change one tone in the melody and the guy screams something else....god i hate them...i even copied theyr album to give them a chance and it failed..they have one track with some church thing...then in the end of the cd they have the same track backwards...just to fill out the CD i guess.....
I think i found one track on 666 first album that was quite good "La lasca se mue" or something...quite trancy.......
Snd about the Hip-hop song that antiloop made...againg:
The stole the lyrics and the beats and the uildups...everything....just tottaly copied it..without letting anyone know.....I dont like that....

Onte more thing......if you listen to the mix of Miranda - Mars needs women and then Astral Projection - We are contolling transmission you hear that they use the same "Computer" voice saying "We are controlling transmission"......i noticed this when i mixed them together today.....i have a strange feeling that Antiloop stole it....

I have here an old EP from Antiloop called "Not suitable for mass consumption" released 1995. Including the original of I love you which was first called "beauty and the beast" 2nd track is called "Polythene" a very good track still today, 3rd "Talkin´love with nature" and 4th track is "We are not brothers". Ok it might not be so good today but this EP was spinning a lot back then. Let me know if you would like to have any of these.
BTW Antiloop made a it possible to listen to at least one track from Aqua, they made a very cool mix of Dr Jones

antiloop was huge when i first got into electronic music, it was them along with relics like brooklyn bounce, dj quicksilver, dune, scooter, etc etc that introduced me to the whole scene. my personal favorite antiloop tune is "water is life" ... excellent track!!!!!!!! whoppping bass!!!!!

that's not by antiloop!!! lol.. "water is life" was a spoof made by Master Zap (http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/0/100_master_zap.html), he knows robyn from antiloop apparently- he just did it as a joke. :) everyone believed it was antiloop tho. checkout his page
