hmmm i think there are a few reasons..
do artists wanna be known under 1 production name forever? .. maybe when they have a new idea.. or a new approach to their production, they create a guise for it..
to differentiate it for the consumers... i dunno..
but something like that..
of maybe if they did a bad production and decided to put that behind them?? |

I think producers release music under different aliases because they are trying to create a certain sound under that name.
For example, i dont think System F & Gouryella sound the same. Another great example of this, is the original Jam & Spoon. They started off as Jam & Spoon, then started a project call Tokyo Ghetto (which i'm sure we can all remember) and they are now working on a project called Storm which has had a few big hits. These 3 projects are all totally different and you would not be able to tell they were all produced by the same artists.
