Not a big fan of Sasha and definitely not a fan of Firestone (to me, it's the worst big club in Orlando...the comment that Vain is inferior is a head scratcher to me, Firestone reeks of amateurism, but to each their own). But I have to weigh in here.
Who gives a if a track is underground, aboveground, parralellground, or whatever else -ground? If you base your musical enjoyment on the popularity (or lack thereof) of tracks, then perhaps you should reassess why you listen to music in the first place. And newsflash: in Orlando, ALL of this music is underground. There is NOT a thriving scene there. Or in Tampa. Or anywhere else in Florida not named Miami. Another newsflash: Sasha is a hugely successful DJ so why is it surprising that he is playing a track from the Beatport top 10? Finally, if a track is hot, a track is hot -- why not play it? There are plenty of so-called "underground" tracks that ing suck ass. This isn't a "rule," but many producers/labels are at the top of the game for a reason: they're damn good.
And if you don't like a particular track during a set, don't worry, there will be plenty more that you might like. Criticizing a set over the inclusion of a Beatport top 10 deep house track...why don't you just get another drink from the bar and have a good time with the people you're with. Some people take this DJ worship/hate thing way too far. At the end of the day (er, night), it's all about the party and less about the specific track selection. At least it should be. If it isn't for you, you probably don't have any social skills to speak of.

Yeah Orange has a point. I'll end my rant with the top 10 beatport thing its no biggie i'm sure there are more underground tracks in the set.

He definitely doesn't stick to Beatport top 10 tracks, but I seem to remember him playing waff - Ibiza last year as well as others...nothing wrong with doing so either. |

Please tell me who wasn't playing that track? You were at Drumcode at Treehouse last year right? Youre Mr Drumcode. Alan FitZpatrick dropped it along with every other DJ in Miami during WMC. I just heard a Capriati set with Breach- Jack in it. Quit judging. Good DJs play good . Bottom line. Come on guy... |

I bet Firestone will be not crowded for this show. Missed him last time he was here in June but caught afterhours show with him and Dubfire during EDC Vegas week. I'll be attending why not.. :)
We need more underground here in Orlando. I been wanting to check out Soundbar too. |

If u wanna check out soundbar Francesca Lombardo will be there sat. She is pretty good. She ranges from tech house to deep tech depending on crowd. I liked her wmc set a lot. |

I was at the Sasha show in June and it was beyond crowded. There was no room to move, let alone dance. It took forever to get a drink and people were rude as hell when moving through the crowd. It made it impossible to enjoy anything Sasha was playing unfortunately. I spent much of the show wondering if I should just leave because I was so annoyed with everyone. |

You need to reread my comments in this thread. Think you're getting what I wrote confused with what somebody else wrote.
I stated more than once that there was nothing wrong with playing popular tracks. I'm not the one who has a problem with popular Beatport tracks, the bath salt guy does.
Not sure what this has to do with Drumcode. Confusing to say the least. And no, I wasn't at the Drumcode party at Treehouse, watched it live on Be-at.tv. Attended the closing party at Space instead, with Beyer b2b Engberg, Paco, VC (and b2b with Paco), Guti, Martinez Bros, etc. |
