A little belated but... better than nothing.
I want to see either the As or the Angels win it all personally. Both teams have the two best pitching staffs in baseball and they seem like real teams.
I absolutely hate the D'backs and the Braves so I'm pretty happy with the way things are going for them so far.
As for the Yankees, their lineup is the most stacked that I have ever seen but, I'd rather they not win. It's time for someone to not buy the WS for once in ten years.
It's nice to see Minnesota do well but they just can't compete with the IMO.
As for the Giants, they can only go as far as Barry takes them.
My picks are:
World Series: Oakland over St. Louis |

| I'd also like to see the angels win, but only because I'm from socal. I think the A's are the best team right now, there starters are just too good. On another note, stop hating on the yankees. Money doesnt buy championships, good coaches/gms do. |

I don't agree. Although the Yankees have an excellent front office, I still think that the main reason that they have been as successful as they have been recently is that they have consistantly maintained a high payroll. They are willing to spend the money to bring in the Roger Clemens and the Jason Giambis. I also think that the Diamondbacks championship last year had nothing to do with Bob Brenly but the team's huge payroll.
That's why it's nice to see teams like the As, Twins and Angels do well. |

| Both the Yanks and the D'Backs in one night. It looks like these playoffs might be rather memorable.:) |

I think they'd be memorable regardless. But watching the Angels destroy the Yankees live was something absolutely amazing. |

Nice to see the Giants survive. I hope they can pull it off tonight.
How about Minnesota. That was kind of a shocker. It almost looked like they would blow it at the end but they managed to take out the As. Good for them, they beat the best team in the AL this year IMO. |

| GO TWINS!!! they are gonna go all the way, and i think its great that the yanks:whip::haha: are out of the running. the twins are a great team even though they are one of the least paid teams. Twins are gonna go all the way!!!! |

| I really find everyones hate for the yankees odd. I know they have a huge payroll, but alot of it is on contract extensions to there homegrown talent, and some of it is paying more than they need to for there free agents. Most of the teams can compete with them on a spending level. Most owners also have a buisness in addition to there team, and therefore will invest as little as possible. Stienburger on the other hand, has no other buisness and is willing to spend the big bucks, its really not there fault. Oh btw, the angels are going to contract the twins right out of the playoffs :P |

Well, this is the end of an era for SF. Baker will leave, Bonds will either retire or play one last season, Kent will leave aswell (not a huge loss, but he played well until it really mattered), Satiago is getting old, and they just gave away the world series, after a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh innings, game 6. Bugger!
SF = choked, Angels played well enough to force that, and probably deserved it. |
