Does it seem weird that Armin Van Buuren is playing at a local show next to artists like Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Arvil Lavigne & Flo Rida?

In my opinion its what he really wants. He's going the Tiesto route. Except at least Tiesto shrugged off the term trance and did his own thing. Kind of wish he would do the same. |

Doesn't seem weird to me. He's a pop-house DJ. What difference is there when he plays at festivals alongside guys like Calvin Harris? It's all pop music; the antithesis of not only what trance is supposed to be about, but of what electronic music in general is supposed to be about.
The sad part is, I bet he can still tear it up behind the decks if he wanted to. |
