hahaha!
what is the advantage of GA at door only?
seems that someone who does sell out 5000 cap. places, would need a no-door tickets pre-sale only kind of thing, to keep all those who won't get in from even stopping by to try it.
Musically:
any chance that there will be some old-style hours mixed in, or has he now totally moved on? |

marqueeny.com says pre-sales sold out.
I had thought there never were any on offer in the first place.
just curious....

at first glance that seems like a lot, but then again, when you compare it to concert tickets these days in general, or prices that Armin or Sensation charged (or even Avicii at RCMH), it's actually in the ballpark.
For those that want to see him, not such a shock perhaps. (obviously for most here, all those events mentioned abpve hold little attraction also).
Concert prices:
Up til this year, i've done at least a handful of Allman Brothers shows at the annual March Beacon run.
But with upper balconies costing over 80, plus TM fees, and front Orchestras going for 150-170(!), that's just too much.
i mean, a week of shows for what, 700 dollars min?
But good for them, the initial 10 date run is totally sold out, they just added 4 more shows, I don't begrudge it at all.
oh well. |

yeah, but this is a club we're talking about, I think it's a bit misleading when trying to compare that to an arena, a festival type event, or even a concert. A lot more factors need to be included in that...In a club, all you do is show up with a stick full of mp3s and you're good to go. So, to me the price isn't really justified no matter who the DJ is. Shoot, I wouldn't even pay $100 for Prydz in a club and I get wet and drop my pants (no homo!) when I hear he's coming to town.
But I'm not surprised at that price at all, though. I knew it's gonna be more than a hundred bucks as soon I read that bit about no tix available online.. Marquee knows they will fill up the club and can charge premium at the door for tiesto's appearance and they're milking that cow. I don't blame them I guess, I'd do the same in their position. Suckers will be suckers. |
