I'm trying to get more into these genres but I'm particularly fond of stuff that's extremely groovy and/or melodic as well.
Anyone care to point me in the right direction? |

Start from "Innervisions" and "Life and Death" Labels, and go from there, there's a lot to find, like "Gab Rhome" and "Woo York" and etc. but start from the labels above I'd say and follow recommendations.
And Deep House is such a broad term today so bring up some examples of what you like and post them here.
Henry Saiz which the guy above mentioned is from the "Eklektich" label, something of a more Major sound label, but it's good, check it out too :) |

Yep, I know about Saiz but I always considered him more progressive than deep house but he's def awesome!
Here is an example of what I am looking for...
....and as for deep house stuff along the lines of Jamie Jones.
Checking out the rest now but Mr Game+Watch pretty much hit the sound I am looking for right on the nose! I do like Classix also by the way. I saw them at Terminal 5 a few months ago.
Indie dance recommendations are also acceptable :) |

That's much more in the nu-disco corner than deep house. Have you checked out Permanent Vacation & Hivern Discs?

the non-vocal version is better imo, but i'm not sure where you can find it. I've only listened to it here:
