2014.01.25 [LA] Inception with Adam Beyer & Ida Engberg at Exchange LA (pg. 2)

For my first time at Exchange LA, it was certainly interesting. Line was no problem since I got presale. Although I heard they were charging up to $90 at the door? Really? Are we in Vegas or Miami? Not the typical Hollywood-type crowd I was accustomed to when I used to go clubbing in LA in the late 90s and 2000s. And from what I heard, there were definitely people there who didn't even know who Adam was and were there just to party.
Anyways, definitely glad I made the trip from San Diego to see Ida and Adam! They were amazing! Ida did a great job opening up for Adam, and when Adam came on around 2AM, he did not around! He was banging it out!
This will definitely be my fix for me not going to Miami this year (although I am kinda bummed that I won't get to see Adam at Space for his Drumcode party on the terrace.) With Nicole Moudaber last week, I'm hoping this is a trend for more techno shows out West, preferably in San Diego. Where's Paco Osuna? |

| Amazing set from Beyer last night, as expected. He played a much harder set than I had anticipated, but that last hour from 5-6AM was just great. He's going to be back at EXLA in March FYI. |

interesting...why so soon. is he doing a friday night pre party for a massive? i know hes in miami for wmc. but twice to the same city within 2mo is rare |

He's also going to be playing a 10-hour set at Output in Brooklyn NY in March too ... |

I know him & Ida are stationed in the US for the next 3-4 months and touring heavily in N. America. Yeah pretty interesting to see him booked back at the Exchange so soon, but no complaints here.. |

I saw on Gigatools that Coda is in Toronto, not Sherman Oaks. |

Apparently there is a Coda in Sherman Oaks and Toronto, but this event is the one in Toronto. Bandsintown messes stuff up a lot, so I'm not surprised it mixed these two up.
He is playing again at EXLA on March 22nd though. |
