| Very interesting to see everyone's thoughts, especially for a night where two very different artists were billed. Glad I posted a "IMO" in my original reply here as a lot of people really enjoyed Zabiela's set and the crowd was definitely getting down. I just didn't like it because I came strictly for Liebing. Knew he would have a later time slot and was waiting for Zabiela to finish out for 2 hours, so my impatience played a part in my negative experience. |

| I would have gone for Liebing too. Zabs is a great DJ, was never in to his style though. |

| Zabs used to be a West Coast TA. He used to read and post on here from time to time, specially when he was in town. |

| I remember that. I remember everyone was talking about "washers" at Avalon and Zabs asked "What is a 'washer'?". And bam... all the pictures came out. |

Can you guys elaborate more on these Asian washers? Obviously I always see them out and about on the dancefloor but was curious if there's any more backstory or info here. Avalon has never been a desirable place (primarily among my female friends) because of the hoard of old Asians. I know they won't do anything but it was hard to convince my GF to stay @ Liebing with one of them giving her the devil's stare every 30 seconds. |

Washers are not dangerous or anything. Some people prefer them over the douchebag crowd too.
They just don't feel good to be around. Nothing worse trying to dance to a washer thats going through full "spin cycle" bumping in to you and ruining your vibe. I think people are freaked out by the fact that
a) they tend to be little older (sometimes really old, like grandparent status)
2) they don't socialize too much other then within their own group
IV)they can be inconsiderate of the people around them when they dance.
x) they don't drink any booze (venues definitely don't like this)
7) they're not the prettiest group of people (i know that's a pretty bad thing to say but c'mon. ya know its true). |

| I haven't seen that many "washers" at Avalon lately which is good. Still plenty of old Asians but not so many doing the spin cycle. But it seems like the number creepers have skyrocketed which is worse. The last time we went to Avalon, the crowd was just disgusting. |
