| Fear of heights and I still don't know how I talk myself into going on roller coasters but I freak out every time I'm on one...huge panic attack for me. Ladders, forget it; I won't climb on one at all. |

| I'm afraid of spider webs in my mouth. Also for some reason I always get shivers when rubbing balloons. |

Needles, even vaccines which are supposed to be helpful (It's my second time here in the Amazon and I've yet to take my yellow fever shot). |
I used to be like this myself but it finally changed due to a certain binge I went on. |

that, playing with your life for the adrenaline rush is no different than shooting heroin for that rush. If you ever look at a seasoned adrenaline junkie they start to look rather old compared to their years much like a drug addict. Also I'm seriously afraid of heights also. |

I've no problem with spiders, though I might have a mild jump-scare if I see a big one all of a sudden, just hanging out in a sink or bathtub. That's when you unleash the torrents of water, flushing it down the drain as they clutch in their legs in some futile bid to save themselves. No, you blasted two-inch wide spider, you had the gall to appear out in the open. Stay away in the corners and kill beetles for me. |
That's the level I'm at, but I consider that a "problem" - if you can't co-exist with a small, harmless, currently confined arachnid then you've probably got quite an irrational fear going on.
I used to be far worse with heights as a kid, but going on some heavy duty rollercoasters in my teens seemed to sort out the irrational part. Now I just fear falling from considerable heights and dying, which is hardly irrational. |

I agree about having a fear of certain heights that might cause injury or even death but I won't even go 3 steps up a ladder with out having a panic attack. So, I don't know if I'm being irrational or not as the ladder could slip and I could break a leg or arm. And as far as rollercoasters I have to force myself on them and once I'm on them depending on the ride I enjoy the fear or hate the fear.
I'm not scared of the rollercoaster coming to a stop due to common mechanical issues as I'm more afraid of serious issues like that girl that was on that coaster at a Six Flags (I want to say it happened in Florida, as we always blame Florida) but it was a coaster where your legs dangle free through the ride and a wire beam had came loose and was in a spot where it shouldn't have been and as the coaster screamed by she was sitting in the front seat and it cut parts of her legs clean off. Wonder if there were any other victims in that incident besides her but I'm too lazy for a Google search right now.
And that Pirate ship ride that just goes back and forth to the point where you are almost going upside down. that ride hardcore. Half way through I wonder why I got on as all I am thinking is fight or flight and when you're being thrown back and forth and damn near upside down you can't do either.
Not too afraid of spiders although I would hold on in my hand if givin' the chance. |

Spiders don't bother me much, having to kill them makes me far more uncomfortable then leaving them be most of the time, I hate how they spas out when they die and lie on their backs and stuff. It's ing weird. If they really get in my way I prefer just relocating them or finding a more discreet way to deal with them.
The bugs that I hate the most are worms and caterpillars and the like, anything that's squishy/throbbing/pulsating/has no discernible character features at all. Although I like to avoid them out of sheer disgust I can't honestly say I'm scared of them either. Whether that's the same thing is up for debate I guess.
It also sort of depends on whether I'm on my own or not, we had a caterpillar invasion once when I was out camping with friends, the ******s were everywhere end you had to spend like 10 minutes every morning and night knocking them all out off your clothes and sleeping bag and the like, but I'd just laugh it off then, when normally I'd seriously get sick to my stomach. |
