Srb is 45... 50 after fees, and we are offering 4 artists, one of whom has never been here before (Jordan Suckley), if we still can't convince people to come out for a 10 dollar difference , well :) not much we can do...

I'd spend $10 more just to not have to deal with fur boots, beads all over everywhere, and children pushing me so they can make a dance circle for their friends to do the running man.

That's just me though.

Haha il spend 20-30 less not to deal with any of that nonsense along with the TranceFamily hypocrites and just do blkmarket or output instead. Haven't seen any fur boots since Miami last year.

Be adventurous people!!! Btw, escalla ever think that you'd sell more tickets and drinks by lowering prices just a tad? I know it's 4 DJs, but come on, $55 bucks? It's not like it's carl cox b2b with loco dice...

The reason certain venues (Webster hall, pacha) can offer cheap prices is because they have a 1000 Yolo kids to offset pricing. More numbers means cheaper pricing.

Also there is a large element of perceived value when it comes to tickets, some people think Carl Cox b2b Loco Dice is worth that money, others may feel 4 quality names in trance under one roof is worth it and some people may even find worth it to spend 40 dollars to see Andrew Rayel by himself on a Thursday.

Bottom line is , when it is an artist they really want people loosen the purse strings. All depends on what they think is 'worth it'.

like the way you sidestepped the quality issue entirely , but dame its out there.
no reason to think that Markus at neon central will be anything other than Markus at pacha not long ago.
and that wasn't anything special, certainly nothing worth this money trade off analysis.
10 bucks is a beer and change...

(on the guest list for markus...so being cheap vs. $50)

however, there's no doubt the quality issue is a factor. it'll be a great night, and i might regret my decision. but when you're broke grad student like me, it's enough to swing the tide. besides, i'll be at SRB in a few weeks for JOC.

And, speaking of which, I may have to give up Simon Patterson et al, in order to be able to go see JOC, lol. Its either these guys on Sat or JOC in two weeks, can't have both:mad: Or, I could, but not without difficulty. I believe BOTH events are worth it, and the price for Saturday's party is, from a business point of view (with what esscala said about SRB vs. Webster Hall, etc) somewhat reasonable, but not enough to "loosen the purse strings"...this time:D $10-15 cheaper at the door (not online, bc I do not always like to commit to buying the ticket, since then if I can't go, I would have to run around trying to sell it, or lose the value of the tix completely) might have helped make it more feasible.

by that logic I guess we can expect even higher prices for FSOE350 then...

i lied. looks like i'm forking over the money and going after all esp. since SRB is walking distance for me. see you guys there!

I ain't complaining about the price. When you live in San Francisco there's only one way to see a show like that and that's to fly to New York which is what i did. Worth every penny. That was easily the best light show ive seen outside Europe. Great sets all around too. Next best thing to the Netherlands or Ibiza. Likely better than Ibiza if you're talking about trance specifically.
