A few new tracks. Let me know your thoughts.

Came up with this track while I was trying to remake a track of mine from earlier last year called "Remnants."

The remake wasn't going the way I wanted it to go and I just messed around and came up with a new idea. Now I'd say this is the perfect B-Side for Remnants. I've called the new track, "Spacewalk."

I envisioned slowly moving through a diverse landscape of stars / galaxies / planets, etc... and I wanted to name the track accordingly (I take my track namings VERY seriously. The second step thereafter is to find a photograph that would nicely accompany the title. I believe I accomplished both of those tasks in this case. I mention this because it took me a particularly long time to name this track (When I first uploaded it I had named it "Celestial Panorama..." but something about that seemed too... I dunno - just wasn't satisfied with it. Anyway let me know what you think.

I'll also upload "Remnants" below so you can hear the similarities (I started them both the same way on purpose).

"Spacewalk"

I messed up the fade at the end so the track kind of lingers in the background at a very low volume... I'll fix it.

I was going to start mixing again under my Ring Galaxy Alias. I figured I'd call the show TimeWarp Radio since I plan on mixing tracks from wayy back in the day alongside tracks of today. Anyway, got some voiceovers and stuff figured I'd write a little track for the intro. The drums turned out to be some of the best I've ever made, so it goes without saying that eventually I'll make the whole song. It's very very very very sloppy right now, but I'm too excited about the drums - I had to share it. My editing of the voice over also wasn't superb but, again, its not finished. Anyway, let me know what you think of the direction it's heading.

Oh, and for the show, I'm not going to play this entire thing at the start of each episode. I figured for the first episode I could be quite dramatic, but the rest of em the intro will be much much shorter. Thanks for listening!

Made everything (other than the imaging effects) my self.

"The Storms of Jupiter (Welcome to the Future)"

EDIT: I've worked a bit more on the track itself. Here's what I have so far. Rid of the piano, cause it wasn't working for me, although I think I'll probably keep it in the "Welcome to the Future" Edit, it works for the introduction's purposes.

Got fast one for ya, and a slow one for ya.

Firstly the fast one.

Also, I figured I'd start doing something new while working on new ideas here and there. I've created a new SoundCloud account where I'll upload each version of my unfinished works in progress. http://www.soundcloud.com/dlalpha. Figured AlphaZone was a neat way to indicate that the profile is meant for unfinished works in progress (alpha, beta, etc.) This way, you can get a feel for my workflow. I've recently started a new track that I decided to call "Tiger5000." (Edit - I reuploaded the current version of the track to my primary Soundcloud account)

Not sure why... For some reason the track reminded me of the powerful nature of Tigers, and I figured the 5000 made it sound a bit more futuristic. Lol. Regardless, it seems to be turning out pretty well so far. I've experimented with some interesting samples as well. (Listen to v3 at 2:31.)

As usual I've created all of the patches used and created my own drum patterns. I've almost exclusively used u-he's Zebra2 softsynth.

Anyway, I'm going to return to focusing on the drums a bit more for the next update (or several). Please tell me what you think, and let me know if you think I should continue uploading things like this.

Next up we got the slow one. I tweaked one of the patches I made a while ago into a pad that turned out quite nicely (I usually don't use many pads), and wrote a little progression. The rest was just me messing around, but it turned out quite nicely. I originally attempted to create a breakbeat (which I'm not very good at) - but then I scrapped that idea and went with the traditional 4/4, but some of the older drum elements were still in place and I think the beat turned out nicely as well.

Decided to call it "Winds of Remembrance," because the atmosphere of the track reminds me of old memories/feelings, also it makes me feel like I'm walking along a beach thinking. Anyway, tell me what you think.
