My gripes about GK (no fault of anyone's but mine):
Missed out on the TA meet... I was there at 12.30 but I couldn't see a 00 fleming t-shirt anywhere. I waited for about 10 min but mates were getting impatient... sorry guys... next time.
I was supposed to be front row center... but all the ppl from my area who went, which is most of the ppl I know were right near the speaker between the 2 entrances (obviously they're not TAs :)). So I ended up there, not wanting to be a loner. I missed out on seeing Armin go off from such a distance. I missed out on the start (first 30 min) of his set. Might have to check him out @ ZOS this weekend. Hopefully I can get guestlist organized.
Now the good stuff:
Now that the gripes are out of the way, Gods Kitchen was fooking awesome!!! From the moment I started dancing in front of the DJ before Judge Jules with a hot babe on my shoulders, to the moment I could no longer hear the bass from Melbourne Park, I felt like I was in paradise. I was so excited and it was wort all of it. Didn't want to concentrate on what tracks were being played, but I noticed from the start of Fleming's set that he wouldn't be playing Nothin(Mix 2) :( . All in all me and 25 mates had a ball - 'nuff said.
Can't wait for Summadayze now. |

Just made it back to sydney.
I have one word. ARMIN!
I have the biggest spot for john00 but armin absolutely blew me away. From 3-5 was the best set of Trance i have ever heard in my life. I will never forget some of those moments as long as i live. It was good to meet a couple of ta's stipsy, philby and a couple of others sorry ive forgotten. Found myself front and centre for the last couple of armin tracks and wasn't he having the time of his life. It's so refreshing to go out in melb as opposed to sydney where you don't have dogs sniffing you and people giving the search. Such a well organised event.
John 00 came on and had a hard act to follow. I loved the new astral tracks but im not so sure the rest of the crowd enjoyed psy trance approaching 6 in the morning. Cafe Del Mar joof style rocked as well, we got to hear both the mixes doing the rounds at the moment. (marco v as well.)
Jules well i gave him a couple of songs and it was crap so i went to the prog room and caught satoshi till 3 and he was awesome. He had the hot, extra light room pumping. And by the way when did all these events become so light. I need to start packing my sunglasses for half the night. All it did was highlight all the speed up dickwads who seem to love annoying the out of everyone with their arms and heads full of .
All in all melbourne rocked. One of the best 3 events ive ever been to. Perth enjoy armin and joof it will be special.:D
I wish i was in perth next weekend or melb to catch a repeat armin show.:D |

Oh i forget, my Fav track of all time got a run for armin and didn't the roof almost collapse. Push - Strange World 2000 remake.
I have never heard that played out before and well another one of those never forget memories. It's giving me goose bumps now just thinking about it.

yeah, i know what you mean nervous. ;)
I was up the front centre at that point too, and i heard the transition. I said to my mate: "I know this track, it's those bouncing synths...ummm...oh, what is it...uhhhh... OH NO F**KING WAY!!! NO!! ARMIN IS NOT PLAYING THIS TRACK!!! OMFG!!!"
And then I started screaming and yelling and jumping up and down pointing my glowsticks at God aka AvB, and I ended up leaning up against the barrier at the front with my head in my hands.
Christ, what a brilliant night. |
