And the fact the he is a "professional" dj and he would just curse people out like that just because people keep bugging him to go back. I for one would love for him to go back to his old style and rip up! he talks about doing what you love and him not following hypes/trends...so this whole new trouse sound you are pushing armin, what do you call that?

i would give him more respect if he came out and said
"the whole uplifting/eupohric trance sound iam over it. iam into a more electro house/pop sound these days."
but for him to keep on promoting his sound as "trance" is a shot in the face to the fans who been with him since the beginning

| I think his problem is that he thinks he decides what Trance is. Just because you have a show named "A State of Trance" doesn't make you the Supreme Overlord, you douche. I've always said it, but evolution in music is something but when a sound changes to the pop edm sound that is now in fashion, I mean c'mon do you take us for an idiot? |

| Yeah even above and beyond changed their show's name from trance around the world to group therapy. But the thing about that is people (yolos) still call them trance when a&b dont mention the word trance at all! Armin needs to realize that w&w, gareth emery, and himself dont play trance at all anymore. Armin does play the occasional "classic" but one song isnt gonna make it better tbh |

In all fairness, his ASOT show does play a lot of trance. There is some cheese on there too, but there is a ton of "true" trance that nobody gives a about. His recent productions are another story, that's just bad. And his dj sets seem to be a mixture.
The problem is, nobody really gives a about the "real" trance if and when he does play it, and everyone seems to like the trouse stuff. So it's either he plays a good amount of trouse to keep the majority of people happy, or he can play "real" trance and end up with no fans.
As for the go F yourself comment. I'm glad he's keeping it real. |
