im sorry to say but piottto was a bit disappointing... im not saying he was bad but for a dj with that much "respect" it could have been a lot better... i mean, it seemed like he barely put any effort on mixing the tracks, and was ing with the bass and treble for every track.. i dont mind djs ing with the eq's but cmon, make sure your transitons are tight when u do so, some of the transitons sounded pretty bad.. even with the phazon, at some point the bass was just distorted, cuz the beats were slightly off.. i must admit that i enjoyed Oliver Berge's set more than Picotto's (sorry matt..:( ) he dropped some sick tech-house tracks with flawless mixing, brought a nice atmosphere to the crowd and built it up very nicely for Picotto.. well Sven's techno did it for me.. Picotto's didnt.. guess i gotta get my techno-fix somewhere else.. can u say.....UNDERWORLD!!!

hello everyone!! great to see so many NYTAs out at arc, what fun!! i have never seen the whole bunch so happy and dancing. a great night out in nyc...

wow, matt and i survived!! we got to arc at 11:30 after being awake for about 40 hours with a little 2 hour cat nap inbetween toronto and nyc. i am now a HUGE fan of Mauro's, but will never top matt;) his sets in both toronto any ny were stellar and i have never had so much fun out before. although the toronto set/experience was much better than arc (club, crowd, etc.) i still believe Mauro 10/5/02 will be the party of the year for nyc. let's see what PvD brings 11/1/02!!!

highlight of my night (music wise):(there were sooooo many, i loved every track he dropped, was it obvious??) was when he ended with:

Woody Mcbride aka dj esp - off the ceiling
WOW!!!

highlight of my night (experience): when matt gave mauro the yankees jersey with PICOTTO on the back and the number 1. i was just about in tears...and why didn't anyone have a camera??;) and then he drank out of my water bottle  so now i have one of his cigarettes and a water bottle he drank out of.

the next day rory and i went to central park and hung out on the great lawn until almost 5, how relaxing...and matt...well, i'll let him tell how his day went yesterday:D

once again, a big shout out to all TAs there that night!!

highmay - you are as energetic as me...wahoo!! i'm glad that i got to hang with sot, excelongt, and trancer, can't wait to see all of you again at PvD!!

oh yes, i thought i was sore on saturday after friday night, nope, that's nothing. i now feel like i got run over by a tractor trailer going 80mph and completely lost my voice. what a mess...

Get better and some rest, sweetie..
Went to soccer game Sunday morning, went home, slept 1pm-8pm, then mindnight-6am and off to work..

All ova the place..
Many of my SF forum friends were there.. PVGod2002 was there so I hung out with him, then my clubbing partner in crime was glued to the speakers, was with her most of the time...
Like 1/2 the club were familiar faces...

Picotto blew me away! His track selection was on point. He owned the crowd. That was 1 of the best sets I've heard that space period. Vinyl, Arc whatever never took such a beating. The programming was a lil random (lotta of electro) and his mixing was a lil off at some points he didn't cut the record fast enough or held it too long.

Picotto was a lot of fun, highly animated and energetic, he riled us all up. For a such a small room, that place blew up!

The phazon is ININCREDIBLE! Best system in the city hands down! The lights need MAJOR WORK. The crowd was surprisingly good. Great Vibe, Energy, and atmosphere. Many ppl complained about the guido invasion they didn't bother me 1 bit
Good crowd to me equals ppl who are really into the music. I would look out into the crowd and ppl would smile and I would smile back. :)Thats a GOOD CROWD! Smiling ppl dancing. It was an AWESOME night. It was great seeing all of U :) I ran into a lot of my old school twilo buddies, and Jessie the bouncer from Twilo.

Good Job Matt~ :D

Arc light guy should be SHOT, I was gonna throw my water bottle at that young black kid...
He strobed for like 20 minutes straight from 1:50-2:20am..
My sober being couldnt stand it..
Later it was a bit improved but still whack..
Bring Steve Revlon there..

It was awesome to see Caryn & Matt on my 'turf'- we always party in my hometown of DC at Glow. Next time, come up for a longer stay. Same goes for Art, Daphna & Ian. Tho I don't know if we can top this past Fri. nite, we do get a lot of good parties here, especially this month. I'm already planning my funeral for early November.

great seeing all the NYTA's out at Arc on Saturday night. Mauro was awesome... I cant believe he dropped BAGUETTE! One of my all time favorites. The Phazon is unreal, but the lights in there suck. I kept getting blinded by those damn strobes. Definitely the best night overall in NYC I've had since the days of Twilo... I'll just need a few more days to recover...
