Your first transition is phrased matched as far as I can tell, though there isn't really much of the second track after the transition, so it's a little hard to tell, since I don't know the track (at least not from a few beats:). The bass drops too low and it's noticable where the transition is taking place. The bass can change, but (IMO) it shouldn't change until just after the next track is fully in and the last track is fully out (this all can take place in one beat).
I think track 2 was slightly slower than track 1, but not very noticably.
The longtransition was not phrased matched. Track 1 ends on beat 3 of track 2. The beatmatching was not that good. It was much better on your first track. The bass beat pounds in too hard from track 2 during your long transition, and kudos for keeping the two tracks beatmatched for so long. I don't particularly like transitions that are overly long unless the tracks lend themselves to it. I don't think that these two tracks do. The words of Catch run on too long for this work (the way I like it anyway). Though you do cut track 1 just at the right time.
Your last transition was great! It was phrased matched and beatmatched very well and the transition itself was excellently timed. This is was the type of transition I was refering to in the second paragraph. |
