My standard answer for these types of questions is 'I like anything that I don't think is ', but I suppose that's not very helpful. Generally my favourite type of trance is uplifting/emotional/deep/melodic, with soft female vocals.
NOT RANDOM RANDOM EXAMPLES!! :D
 Mekka - Diamondback (Original Mix)
 Chicane Feat. Maire Brennan of Clannad - Saltwater (Tomski Vs. Disco Citizens Mix)
 DT8 Feat. Roxanne Wilde - Destination (Vocal Mix)
 Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (Pulser Remix)
 Hemstock & Jennings - Crimson Soil |

| WHOOPS I forgot to mention that I love just about anything by L-Vee, even though I've probably only heard about 40% of his productions. |

| Like everyone said, it's all about the mood. That's why I love trance. It branches off into so many areas of mood that whatever you're feeling, there's a song for it. |

| Melody-Trance and Vocal-Trance. I don't like that "beat-only"-stuff. Just not my style :) But sometimes I like progressive and hard-trance too, but that depends on the track ^^ |

Just listen to Gatecrasher Red, that's my favourite era of Trance far and away.
Progressive stuff is growing on me though, especially Holden and Sasha. |
