I don't personally believe it ends with Crimea. Latvia is also targeted by Russia, although from my sunday reading of British Tabloids and 'Torigraphs', I've gathered that within Latvia there is no substantial consensus of becoming...erm, Russian? |
Like the examples you mentioned in the post above, this is just impossible. But it's easy to point out why this one is even more so.
In Latvia there's no reason they would ever want to join Russia, even if a fifth of the population is Russian, for quite a few reasons:
- Latvia is better off being part of the Eurozone, so it would make no sense to hope for some kind of Soviet nostalgia there (unlike Ukraine, which was still in a limbo);
- Unlike Ukraine and Georgia, Latvia is part of NATO. As a matter of fact, this is what pissed Russians off after the fall of the Berlin Wall - NATO kept moving eastwards, to the point it now borders Russia;
- Unlike Crimea, which grants access to the only Western Russian naval base in hot waters, there's little reason Russia would want to risk everything for Latvia. It's already got access to the Baltic Region.
If Putin decides it's expansion time, it would make a lot more sense to go after the Stans, which aren't as well developed, nearly as close to NATO and the EU, and have just as many Russians. |

There is a great interest, mostly humor, with movies of the future, in my era. Minority report, Demolition Man, etc. They couldn't be more wrong. I guess that's why it's funny.
Anyway,
Thank you for answering my questions. It seems like you didn't listen to me the first time. There is more to the Olympics than just sports. Politics play an important role, and as you can see now, a few nations have taken advantage of the Olympics. Notice how the Olympic games received front page news, while other stories got short blurbs and were dismissed. You were all fooled. You were all distracted. The historians of my time agree that the Olympics were used to the advantage of certain nations.
I'm going to cut to the chase.
All of the people on this website from these nations should leave immediately:
Estonia
Latvia
Poland
Ukraine
Belarus
Armenia
Turkey
Any of the "Stan" countries
Moldova
Lithuania
Romania
Bulgaria
Serbia
I hope this helps. Leave as soon as possible. Go as far west as you can, and I pray for your safety. Please, do not bring many. The hosting nations cannot support many refugees. You might have to leave loved ones behind.
All other countries in Europe, I hope you are prepared to be self-sufficient. It's too late to grow anything now. Buy canned goods, a source of fresh water, and blankets are important for your survival. Do not trust many people. They will steal from you and possibly harm you for your food and shelter.
I may decide to go into more detail, but I am not sure if I should.

It wouldn't be the first time western media took a sensationalist story and ran with it. However, the story and the leaflet have clout -even if the terms are manufactured- because there does exist a very sizable anti-semite sentiment in Ukraine, especially in the eastern portions inclined to wage a disinformation campaign to smear proponents of independence.
The parallels with Soviet pogroms are startling. Yes, it always starts as a flier. Then some graffiti. Then assets are frozen, evictions are issued, badges are administered, etc. |

"While the flyer may not carry any official authority, Weiss says its distribution still has a detrimental effect on Donetsk's Jewish community as it reflects tactics "used by the Nazis." |
