This is something I'm sure we all support, so take a moment to sign this petition that's been going around to extend the last call to 4 am in Toronto. And with the mayoral race just around the corner, now more than ever is the time to turn this into an election issue.

Anything can happen with Rob Ford running in the next election
Beer being sold at corner stores has been a hot topic so I wouldn't be surprised if it was for the next provincial |

| I could see a (slim) possibility of this working if the push was for 3AM but I really don't see any chance of 4AM happening |

| I think from a macroscopic level, this is a big sign the times are changing. Legalizing weed and loosening liquor laws are a sure sign the baby boomer generation is on its way out while Gen X'ers are starting to make their impact at the political level. All really cool stuff to see. |

I really want to sign, but only if it was an Ontario thing.
Personally I think Toronto wouldn't be the only one to have it if it was passed, AGCO controls all these 'liqour and serving laws.' We'd get much more power and votes if it was all of Ontario.
Second if it was only Toronto serving last call till 4AM, how many other clubs in other city would lose patrons cause everyone would just wanna go to Toronto instead? Personally, I like my local job at local nightclubs and would not want to lose it cause of patron decline. Just my own thoughts. |
