| i always carry earplugs with me when i go to nightclubs. Normally I'll wear the earplugs if the sound is too loud (sasha and digweed @ Delta Heavy 2002 in toronto was beyond loud)..i wore them then and i could still hear the music very clearly. Most of the time, I'll wear the earplugs near the end of the night....but it depends. I value my hearing, so i also take them with me and it gives me the option. |

I've heard that you have to go to a doctor and after the hearing test(measuing what freq. you can hear....they offer you a ear plug and it's made specially, do you know anything about that???
I've seen them but not quite sure...I guess they were blue '!!! |

| some deejays are starting to wear those. They are special made and custom fitted ear plugs and certain deejays are starting to wear them every so often. Sasha, Digweed, Jimmy Van M, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Judge Jules and others have bought them.....some english company makes them, I read it in Mixmag like a year ago. |

But I think it the right thing to do cos....
Let's say you are just starting djing(at the age of 18 or 19)
If you RUIN your ears and you can'T even hear the beats(ha ha ha):) what's gonna happen next???
I think it the right thing to do...
I'm looking for that kind of plugs indeed but I'd like to get some -=MORE=- information about them... |

| I think I'm going to get a set of these. The other day I noticed my mixing started to suck and couldnt figure out why. Then I started to get nausious, and dizzy. I took a break then kept my headphones off my left ear and everything was fine. Think I may have damaged my hearing pretty bad. Going to the doctors later this week. |

| I've had ringing in my ears for more than a week now after seeing M.I.K.E. and Joy Kitikonti at [email protected]. It was Joy's fault cause he was pulling the mid and hi eq's up during buildups like the madman he is and the sound was overall very loud. Not that bad anymore now though, but I don't think too many of those are too healthy :) |

Everybody should wear ear protection whenever they are in a loud environment. Whether its custom made of bought over the counter, just wear em'. Once you lose ur hearing, it'll never come back. and just think how life would be without listening to trance.
I've already lost some hearing in my left ear from all the partying and days at the shooting range. Now I wear hearing protection all the time in clubs and loud areas.

Noooo that's the best bit. Especially that speaker on the right of the DJ Booth in crasher :) Sit with your back to that if flash comes on.... your veins pulse with the beat :)
You're going to go deaf eventually anyway, abuse your ears while you still can. |
