What are the best ways for vocalists/singers to connect with musicians, producers, DJs who want to use trance vocalists/singers in their music?
Thanks, Ocean

I don't use vocals much in my work, so personally looperman's modest acapella section has always done me just fine.
From what I've noticed, most aspiring vocalists are willing to work with any genre. Just look up people singing acapella on youtube and shoot a message to someone who may suit your style. Freesound.org also has a few female vocalists who are willing to offer their services on the forums.
Other than that, I'd suggest posting wanted ads on dance music related forums, chances are, there will be a few people who may want to work with you. Also check facebook groups for aspiring singers, and if all else fails, use vocals for a sample pack. I do know Lyane Leigh of E-Rotic fame is often willing to lend her voice to producers for a price.
Probably not very useful info, but hey, I tried. :D |

I thought it was apparent that I am a vocalist and that I'm looking for the best sites where vocalists and musicians, DJs, and music producers can meet in order to create music.

Ah, didn't catch that. In that case, I'd imagine it's a lot easier to find someone to work with because the producer/vocalist ration is about 100:1 :) The things I suggested are still applicable though, just advertise yourself. I don't personally know of any sites with the specific purpose of linking up singers and producers, at least that I know of.
The first thing I'd do if I were you, is upload a few free samples on sites such as looperman. Some of the acapellas available there have thousands of downloads; I've used a couple of them myself.
This may lead people such as myself to take an interest in your work and ask for a collab. It's really all about promotion really..."if you build it, they will come" and all that.
There are many, MANY groups on soundcloud for helping vocalists and producers connect, such as: https://soundcloud.com/groups/looki...ists-for-colabs
I would register a soundcloud account, upload my absolute best track and quite literally spam these kinds of groups with it. Do it several times a day. This is probably your best bet for finding someone to work with aside from messaging people whose work you like and asking if they'd like to collab. |

Thanks for the ideas!
I'm a singer and I'm also a music producer and do complete recordings, beats, music, vocals and all production.
Other producers have been asking me to do vocals for them, and I've been adding vocals, melody lines and words to their songs, and since it's fun and easy and a great way to get the word about my own music out there, I'm looking for the best ways to be found by other musicians who need vocalists.
Yes, I realize that good and unique vocalists are rare and musicians, terribly numerous! Isn't that lucky for me?
I'm on soundcloud too, yet I prefer to use bandcamp for song sales.
I guess I'll start using soundcloud like that, without putting songs for sale on, just for the purpose of meeting others.
Cool!
