Gong to see Beck in the summer. Really want to go to Osheaga, but can't guarantee I'll be able to get that weekend off so I don't want to buy a ticket. |

Kings of Leon are literally the worst act that I've ever seen live. |

You've obviously never heard the Deftones live then. |

I see quite a lot of small local bands but that's about it. Live music is, quite frankly, boring in 90% of cases, and I include live electronic acts in that. |

Yeah but do you go to shows to watch them or hear them? I get that there has to be a certain element of watchability to a performance, but at the end of the day - at least for me, at any rate - it's all about the sound. I ing love live music. It runs right through me, I definitely get some kind of charge out of it.
Not everyone can be Queen or Bowie. :o
I think the only acts that provide this experience of "performance" or watchability are pop acts. Dancing + choreography, etc. Oh and metal bands. I've been to tons of punk and metal shows. That is fun as . Hip hop shows too - they are always pretty interactive.
Plus the experience of live music is also all about connecting with fellow fans. Imo. :p |

Awww yeah. Too bad we have to ford all 8 Soundgarden fans. Same happened at NIN|JA- why does Trent take such pity on the 90s?
We're also seeing Shpongle at Red Rocks. Last stop on World Tour. I am hoping it will be an ensemble deal, because just an electronic show in a huge amphitheater would be somewhat of a waste. |

While their music doesn't really grab me other than a few songs, Rammstein probably was the best "pure" show that I have ever seen. A few years ago, I would probably hit 2 concerts a week. I worked a few huge outdoor festivals in that time as well. Rammstein was pretty much a huge production, and just a mind of a show.
I hate Gaga's music, but her show was actually really well pulled off. Have to give her credit.
Kings of Leon still remains the worst of all time. |

You don't go to a concert for sound qualify. Great performers connect to the audience and have that indescribable energy and improvisation. I'd vote for James Brown (even long after his prime). |
