It isn't particularly DeBlasio's Fault, but take a look:

WASHINGTON — President Obama dissed Russia as a “regional power” on Tuesday and said his bigger worry is a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan.
Obama’s comment came at a press conference in the Netherlands, where he was asked if 2012 challenger Mitt Romney was right that Russia is the United States’ No. 1 political foe, in light of its absorption of Crimea.

“Russia’s actions are a problem. They don’t pose the No. 1 national security threat to the United States. I continue to be much more concerned when it comes to our security with the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan,” the president said.

Obama called Russia a “regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neighbors, not out of strength, but out of weakness,” while speaking with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte after a nuclear security summit in The Hague.

The next suspect on the Axis of Evil list the government has claimed for over a decade wants to do us harm is Iran. It currently does not have a nuclear bomb and, in fact, has not enriched uranium to the level required for a bomb, and also does not possess a missile capable of striking the United States. In January, Secretary of State John Kerry insisted Iran has pledged to stop stockpiling uranium.
After the September 11, 2001 attacks, the government and various commentators told us on numerous occasions al-Qaeda has planted nukes around the United States and will “kill millions, destroy the economy and fundamentally alter the course of history.”
In 2010, Obama said al-Qaeda is trying to get nukes and would have “no compunction in using them.” He added if “there was ever a detonation in New York City, or London, or Johannesburg, the ramifications economically, politically and from a security perspective would be devastating.”

Obviously Russia will just slip the terrorists a nuke now...

How hard is it to actually make a nuke? I would have thought that in this day and age pretty much any country could make or acquire some if they wanted to.

Is it at all possible that terrorists or countries declared as "evil" by 'Murica just don't want to use nukes, because it would be pretty ed up even by their standards?
Joss Weatherby
The actual construction/engineering of it is very easy. Any college engineering grad with a minor in physics could build one.

Getting the fissile materials to actually make one is luckily still hard. Enriching uranium takes a long time and is very expensive and requires tons of machinery. Getting plutonium basically means you have to have a working nuclear reactor that can breed it.

Watch the manhattan project.

It took a lot of work to figure it out the first time. The engineering and physics behind a simple nuclear weapon are not exactly hard now.

Seriously, you and everybody else citing this as proof of an impending terrorist attack or false flag are utter ing morons.

If anybody at all would be the first to launch a nuke, it would either be Iran or N. Korea. Definitely not Russia.
