really enjoying the sound of this thing when I FM the filters...
in this arp here, OSC1 (Pulse) is fm-ing Filter 1 whilst OSC2(Triangle) is fm-ing filter 2
Filter 1 is panned left, filter 2 panned right
Filter is set to 24db lowpass with fairly high resonance - delay is onboard, reverb is EMT140, some EQ8 rolling off the low end

oh you have one? which version you got? i have the 16 voice rack, sometimes i get mad ideas about getting a Q+ keyboard but they are quite expensive |

The q has standard subtractive synth oscillators. Think your thinking of the microwave.
It does have a wave table feature but it is kinda an after thought they added with an is update.
The synth has 58 knobs. Not sure how programming is an issue.
Re evox8
Just the micro. I had the big yellow rack buT sold it when I moved for school. |

yeah cos i find the Q quite good programming wise |

Uses the same matrix like programming as the blofeld, dsi evolver a,omg others. There is no hidden subgroups unlike say the virus.
I use tower sounds editor.
The comb filter for me is what waldorf nailed. I also have a blofeld but I prefer the distortion on the q. The largo VST sounds better than the blofeld for some reason. |

Same as the q except that you have the shift button to say differentiate between filter 1 and 2,
But I can't really think if any synth that has that many features that has it all accessible in the front pages.
Ctrl has a q template which you can load as a VST.
I get what you mean. I route all my synths to a slave running a rme with a buffer of 64. Then the processing is done on that computer sent to to the main via raydat to apogee symphony
I wouldn't use hardware if I had to bounce and then add effects |

true.
but even the nord lead. How many people actually used b c and d other than doubling and detuning. And the routing and modulation was pretty much the same as most oldschool analog synths. IF you can get a NL2 rack used , sure everything after sucked. |
