The lineup for 2015 hasn't been announced yet, but here's the lineup from 2014.

New World Punx has just been confirmed for GCMIA 2015: http://www.groovecruisechris.com/ne...-gc-miami-2015/

It really is an incredible time. Compared to the land-based festivals I've attended (Ultra, EDC orlando, and more), Groove Cruise is much more mature, yet more wild all at the same time. The lineup may not be stacked with all your favorite artists, but it's the people aboard that really make the event, and you have an opportunity to gain a new appreciation for different sounds.

They have their official aftermovie, but if you check out my video above, I feel it gives a more first-person perspective of what to expect.

I went on the GC in 2011-12 and was ready to be back home by day 2. Seemed like most of the crowd was of the YOLO type, only not teenagers. Wasn't a fan of most of the music either, it was almost entirely electro house and I was ready to be done with it by day 2. The only problem was, I was stuck on this boat for 3-4 days. The only saving grace was a stop at the island where you could have a little time for relaxation if you chose. It was impossible to get any good rest on the ship because everyone was up partying in their rooms, being super loud and annoying until 6am everyday. Sure, there are a lot of people that the GC would appeal to, but I definitely am not one of them.

I think I'd start going crazy by day 3. I love a good time and a festival-like atmosphere but I also like to be a bit removed from it at some point. For example, when you go to WMC, or a festival like DEMF or EDC, you get to go back to your hotel/condo and chill. Go out to normal restaurants and before partying.

On this boat you're basically surrounded by the music, people partying (read: on drugs), and just the whole atmosphere of it all. That might not be bad but about 80% of the lineup is bull EDM and the last day doesn't have anything truly decent unless Markus plays a real set which I doubt.

TBH I find cruise ships in general to be a little boring. How much can you sun-bathe, get trashed, and eat until you need to find the flour to find the wet spot? It's like the pre-packaged bull way of doing a vacation.

To each their own - and I can appreciate everyone's feedback. While it may not be everybody, if you even think you might be interested in this event, I assure you it will be a good time!
