Amina Lawal, a 30 year-old Muslim woman, was sentenced to
stoning to death by a Shari'ah court at Bakori in Katsina State in
northern Nigeria. Amina allegedly confessed to having had a
child while divorced. Pregnancy outside of marriage constitutes
sufficient evidence for a woman to be convicted of adultery
according to the new Shari'ah-based penal code for Muslims,
introduced in Katsina State. She will be stoned to death (may
take more than 4 hours) every signature helps please help!!!

well all I can say is.. if you would be willing enough to read more about it and to sign the petition to help out the many women that are sentenced to these kinds of deaths..

| Julie... I had read that they've already set this woman free. It caused a huge international commotion and the Nigerian government cancelled this trial.... unless it's another woman, but I don't believe they would try do to the very same thing twice... would they? |

Stoned to death means.. that A Woman usually that has committed something wrong against her religion.. EX. have sex with a married man or have a baby before marriage. is sentenced to be buried in the dirt so that her head only sticks out of the ground. People from the tribe/community go to her and stone her till she is dead.. as in they take stones and whip it at her head or throw them. |

I wouldn't know.. all i know is that my friend from class approched the teacher about this and we were asked to help out. and as the email said.. to pass it on.. so i thoguht it would be a good idea to post it on here.. |

You get a person, dig a hole, bury the person (except the head) and throw stones at his head (even because there's nowhere else to hit). |
