there are some very good parties going down in tulum the week prior.. Get physical is having a pretty good bash the week prior, a few other small parties going on as well |

Which venues historically have the best & worst sound??
Also, approximately how far to Blue Venado from downtown?

The venues all have terrible sound, all open air pretty much and under powered, but Blue Parrot is being remodeled so who knows. I think the venue I enjoyed the most was Coco Maya for night parties and Mamitas for day parties. Blue Parrot was a nightmare, especially on the big nights like Enter, couldn't even breath let alone dance.
It's about 45 minute taxi ride then a 15 minute walk down a dirt road if I recall. That dirt road was flooded as hell last year and pitch black. You might be able to get the taxi to take you down the road, but you'll probably have to pay him off. |

Wow, fairly far. I did google map it, just wasn't sure of the logistics. Will it be an issue catching a cab back from Blue Venado on the highway at 8am?
and Coco Maya is now closed correct? |

I don't recall having a problem getting back home, but I do remember a couple handfuls of people trying to get taxi's and it was basically first come first serve on the dirt road. They should add a taxi stand,would make things 100x easier, but in Mexico sometimes those simple things are too much to expect haha.
I'm not sure on Coco Maya but now that I think of it I haven't seen any parties there yet.
I see phase 2 just came out, really disappointing for me, bit of a downgrade from last year. I also see some DJs are dropping out, like Tale of Us, wonder if something negative is going on in the background? |

Closing parties still have yet to be announced, names are slowly trickling in.
No Maceo is a kick in the sack for me. Hoping Dusky has some dates later in the week..
