| But who are the DJs playing? Just the ones posted there? Kinda not worth the 80 bucks |
|

gosh, normally I would agree...
But their set-up, art installations, costume requirement, the crowd they draw in make this event... pretty damn good... lol |

that is well done.
Then again, 80 bucks for what is still just eye candy...

yeah, awesome!.
Nothing better than to have to wear something that you wouldn't wear if you didn't have to (and this is true: how many people do you see in costume when it's not mandatory?), and esp. when it's so comfortable to dance in.

yeah, a bunch of self-righteous, green-thinking, climate change apostles that see no hypocrisy between that attitude and living in Black Rock city, after having shlepped all sorts of gear into the middle of some of the most inhospitable terrain on earth at some incalculable humongous carbon footprint.
Just think of the energy it takes to remove 75,000 people's accumulating over a week from Black Rock city, let alone how many 1000s of gallons of piss (and you can look up how much of that gets evaporated, lol)
But, gotta find yourself, rad.
So, let's see:
a rather blah DJ line-up (and even Lee Burridge wont compensate that if he's the special guest), with so-fun costumes and some eye candy, plus oh-so-hip people
vs.
Robert Hood and DVS1
at the Movement pre-party. |

CarS, have you been to Burning Man? or a robot heart party? otherwise, the position you seem to take is a bit narcissistic.
But hey, in defense of:

Anyone care to share here how one gets an invite?
Sure people beg for one on their fb, but thatīs not the way, is it?
Any of you attendees weighing in, would be nice, many thanks!

hey, sorry, it's good that you posted the date, and I do appreciate it, don't apologize for that.
this was not a comment at you, just the line-up, and a +/- about the event overall
as to burners, you can't generalize them all, but a lot of them who are not there for the music, which is the large majority, they aren't usually of the whale-steak-and-tiger-skin-rug mindset but still see nothing wrong with the implications of going to BRC.
they'll gladly vote to ban my incandescent light-bulbs, or to ban plastic shopping bags or take your money to subsidize rich-people e-cars, and so on, but they're not gonna give up this journey (and all that implies) |
