Indeed, and that would be cool.
But it's too weird, in the past, you could make a case that anything that was a trend in the US would hit Europe with a lag of a decade or so.
Current example is weed, here we're on the cool-down path, over there, it's still the devil's weed, and all you hear from NL is an attempt to dial their decrim. back, rather than turning decrim into legalization.
But with this music?
Scooter's been around for so long, most of the kids we're talking about in this thread were't dry when they started (imo, their heyday was more like 15+ years ago).
Not that they're not doing well now (and they've sold 25+ million albums...), yet here, even with people who know dance music, it's more like, who dat?
They're so unknown, that Hans Peter can walk through EZoo like any other fan, pretty much unmugged, let alone being on the mainstage for an evening spot.
Unmugged, except for that cool photo SebG snagged with him in '12.
(stil jealous, lol)
If they ever do make it here, hope they do a lot of that pre Wicked 160 and up stuff.
now, what to make of their current official web adr:

Mr 138+ himself prob. would have said:
what do you mean left trance, I didn't leave trance!
I've advanced it, but I didn't leave it. |
you're asking for the trolling...lol...
here's what i think if it really matters to you... which it prob doesn't
I think tiesto just turned the passion into lots of $$$ and has a good time doing it creating music that he likes which brings in the lots of $$$$... if he would've stayed on his previous path with trance, I don't think he would've been as big as he is now...
as for the Mr. 138 lol... he prob would say all that lol... to me its all about enjoying the music... it all depends on my mood.. and my selection of music is based on that... like right now I am listening to Matt Darey's nocturnal 450... excellent for sitting in front of the computer and staring at a spreadsheet at 8:45 am... over the weekend I also listened to Deadmau5 as well as A & B and Andy Moor... so there.. but that's from the listener's perspective...
but for the DJs, the reality, is like this guy says
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE $$$$$ |

well the feedback from Armin Only was as expected.
You can pretty much read any of the negative comments about what that event would be like, posted starting last year, and it was rather predictive:
crowd (good material got the deer-in-headlight stare)
security
music played (promised an hour of classic stuff that never happened)
and so on.
not hard to know this either.
so people I heard from, "now know better" |

heard the only real melodic trance track he played that night was communication
everything else was all his new style off of his intense album
also in other cities he does a "classics vinyl hour"

| My buddy works for MSG and was able to hook a few of us up with tickets to the Armin show for free. Everything that has been said is spot on. Though the production level was top notch the music itself was pretty piss poor. Communication was the only real gem I can recall him playing. I had looked online and it seemed as though he had set up previous shows with two hours of progressive stuff, 2 hours of his album and then 2 hours of classic vinyl.. Well I can tell you that classic vinyl never happened; in fact it couldnt have been farther from what he played towards the end. The last hour plus was all slow vocal crap. With that said the youngins in the crowd were eating it up. How, is besides me |

| Yea, I just keep sighing every time I see a billboard poster of this event (some of them are still up, since this was just last weekend) lamenting how excited I used to get when AvB came to town. |
