here's some (possible) bull though:
reading the comments on RA can be fun, cause people often ask questions that are answered right there above in the listing.
So, for the "duh--dork" laugh, I looked into the description when I saw the comment from 5/27 asking if this is a day and night event.
But no!
I KNOW it was day AND night event when they first listed it on RA.
That's where I got the 3pm-5am I put in the TA description from.
And the RA listing still shows Fri 7/4 to Sat 7/5, which proves that a post-midnight closing time was there at one point.
BUT, time now is shown as 2pm-10pm
AND listing says:
"This will be a daytime party at the well, we will soon be posting the plans for the night time event. "
Are they now going to break a 14 hour event with one ticket up into two separate events, and with new tickets for the late part?
Im not saying that this will happen, but that's how this reads in plain English, and if that turns out so, its
BULL!
In fact, it's more than that:
it's would be so substantial of a change, that I'd want a chance at a refund or exchange, because:
it's one thing to lose a couple of hours at the beginning, where you miss the warm up crews, but with this change, we'd lose 7(!) h. of long extended late-night sets.
just not the same, and I for one, don't like baking in the sun in the early afternoon, so wouldn't have been there before 5+ no matter what.
And the moniker "extended set", when two headlining DJs split one 8 hour event, and with warm up sets at start and more names TBA, definitely seems out of place. |

email says night part at nearby venue till 8am. Im guessing 3hr sets from each headliner at each venue..They also added more tix..time to oversell :rolleyes:

8am, fine by me, but did the email say if the ticket we already have is good for the whole thing, as was the case before, or that we have to shell out more for the later event?
what Im complaining about...

I agree 3hrs should be minimum set for any DJ...It did not say if it was 1 ticket needed, but what a way to kill the journey if Dixon was just getting to peak and has to switch venues.
If you ask me id say blkmarket has been kind of sketchy about everything these past several months |

hmm.. i had my fix of dickson @ old miami.
since it's the fourth, my primary focus of this day is the view of the fireworks. therefore, it's perfect that cityfox is throwing their party right smack where the fireworks will be at this year, and it's open air festival.
not to mention, how insanely-spectacular their last open air party (space knights) was, i'm sure, regardless of the lack of lineup, it will be one to remember.
and then i'll finish the festivities that night w/ BlkM. |

this works perfect for me. missed him at detroit for both sets so this will have to do.
got work the next day so couldnt do the night portion regardless |
