I have a noticed a style of drums/percussion in late 90's progressive trance/house. They are stereo, sometimes panning from side to side, distorted and kind of phasered and delayed. Here are three tracks that use this technique, I think it adds a cool vibe to the tracks of the era:
It is pretty distinct and I wonder what the origins of it are and/or if there is a name for the technique. |
