Holy crap! I found these on my computer the other day. It's D:Fuse rocking the Spundae float at the very first Love Parade in San Francisco. I didn't take them, but I remember I saved them because they captured the moment soooo good.
Watching these videos 10 years later, brought back a ton of memories. Definitely a highlight event in my life.

Yeah, I remember Love Parade SF 2004! I was so happy that a big festival like this was coming to The States and was practically in tears of joy by the time the parade ended. My friends from Holland had come to visit that me summer, so we all went up there together. They were not at all impressed, and chose to go sightseeing around the city instead.
Two years later, I booked a trip to Love Parade Berlin 2006, and saw what they meant:
Both were amazing however, though RIP Love Parade, neither exists after the tragedy of 2010 in Germany. I will always remember the Love Parades though! |

Best Love Parade was 06 IMO, but that first one was special.
I still to this day can not understand how the they can't pull this off in San Francisco? With EDM being as big as it is now And the event being in SF where all the other crazy street parties happen-Pride, Folsom Street Fair, etc...

| Lovefest afterparty 2008, Kyau & Albert, ATB, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren at Bill Graham, those were the days. Pride has basically taken its place and the city can't shut that down so I'm looking forward to it, same vibe worse music but those are the times we live in. How Weird too, coming up soon. |
