As a user with thousands of posts over several years and one that makes the majority of their income from soundset sales I do feel entitled to post here about them. Most audio forums allow these kinds of posts.

On the other hand I totally agree that users that register only to post sales threads could be barred.

I was about to post a two in one thread about a new soundset and an Easter sale. If you would rather I didn't I'd respect that of course.

I used to run an audio forum and took these things on a case by case basis, but that requires a little more in the way of moderation of course.

Perhaps users should require a certain number of posts (the limit I set was 500 or over) in order to be able to make promo posts.

I think your case is a lot different, whereby you are an active member of the forum - i personally dont have a problem with that and i dont think any other forums members would

I have no problem whatsoever with that. I know that you're a regular contributor here and aren't just pushing a product. It's the folks that come here to do nothing but promote their stuff that I'm taking issue with. Post away, mate.

Frankly, most of the spam doesn't bother me that much, as long as it's music production-related. This forum isn't that active, so it's not like somebody's "Buy My FLS Templates" thread (even if I do consider it tacky) is bumping any recent threads to page 2. Not that I'm necessarily a fan of more stickies, but it's worth considering a sticky dedicated to promoting commercial soundsets, new software, etc. - just a thought. Of course, getting the fly-by-night spammers to post there would probably be challenge in itself.

And, yeah, I agree that guys like tehlord, Raphie, Allonzo, etc., who are active members should be allowed to (reasonably) promote their products/services without fear of being labelled as spam.

Yeah, I could make a sticky I guess, but from my experience with them in DJ Promo, they tend to simply be ignored for the most part.

yep, total utter e. it's not helpful to producers, if anything it harms them in the long run because they become dependent on using other people's loops, presets, etc.

def. spam.

Funny coming from someone who said who cares. :)

Maybe if you said and typed it more properly everyone can have a better understanding. Anyhow you once mentioned before you don't care about your grammar and sentence skills.

That has to be the craziest comeback of all time.

Its a slammin dunk if you ask me. ;)

Damn its def hard to make sense of what you say and type. Your punctuation skills are that of a toddler and you tell your telling me to lay of drugs, LOL. Maybe if that wasn't the case we wouldn't be having this conversation in the first place. The only reason i listed midi samples was just to add to audio damages offer. Some one new at PS just might find it useful and i din't even make a new post for it, i just included it in the original.

:)

Your facts are completely wrong, the puny midi sample offer is 30% and Audio Damage is 40% for 3rd damn time.

I kinda agree with good offers but the audio damage that I listed is good in my opinion.

Oh wow, we made palm cry. Shocking.

I'm inclined not to make a sticky, to be honest. There are already 5 of them here, so adding another one is just going to result in it being lost up there. Additionally, they tent to be ignored, so we'll still end up with threads being made :p
