Welcome our latest tranceaddict, HastNeil'
I am surprised youse are still around on here, what with all the modern social media around! I finally visited the other (European) side of the 'pond', in January 2012, originally to meet a long-gone-from-here TA. It didn't pan out but I still had a nice time in Amsterdam & Den Haag (as well as Iceland). First time flying, longest ever trip of 12 days.
I still love trance & listen to Armin's ASoT & Above & Beyond's Group Therapy shows pretty regularly. I decided to check back in here when I played a fav mix of mine from long ago: Ferry Corsten at Trance Energy on 29/30 April 2000 in Eindhoven. I still get goosebumps from Nightfly, Don't Give Up, & Tenshi.
Also amazed this board looks the same after all these years. Very nostalgic now. |

lol. If it looked the same in 2011 it shouldn't be a surprise it's the same in 2014. :) This isn't to say there isn't room for improvement - a more mobile-friendly version, an option for a light background, and the possiblity to login/register via 'facebook authentication', etc.
That said, the most surprising thing about your post is that you said 2012 was the first time you took a flight? Wow that's huge! Some of the most fun you can have comes from travelling to far off places - this is especially true when hitting up musical events (at least, the ones that aren't overrun with n00bs) |

I usually can't afford to travel outside my region of the country, & so have taken buses & trains over the years. Prior to that trip, the furthest I have been away was Myrtle Beach, SC; & Saint John, NB. Also been to Montreal & Quebec City.
If you noticed, I may have been on here 3 years ago, true. But if you see my average time here over the years, you'd likely see the numbers fall over time when looking at it on a graph, since 2001.
Very nice to see you still have a passion for it all. :) |
