Ziptnf - Liquid Compounds [chillout/psystep]

Psystep has lots of flavors, but very few actual tracks. Last year I made Intelligence Quotient, a mix based on IDM and a really strange niche of psystep that highlights really slow and tripped out music. This time it's more chilled out, with the classic psystep elements of Heavy Gravity. Lots of variety and interesting soundscapes, melodies, and textures. This one starts out nice and slow, but picks up quite a bit as it progresses. Enjoy!
Ott - Adrift In Hilbert Space [Ottsonic]
Chris Komus - Everything Just Started To Go Apart [Enig'matik]
Whitebear - Lost in Vibrations (Pt. II) [Muti]
Slackbaba - The Wanderer [Mystic Sound]
Quanta - Nature of Reality [Dubmission]
Gibson - Regal Beetle [Merkaba]
Birds of Paradise - Phyzicism [Additech]
Desert Dwellers - Seeing Things (Eat Static Remix) [Twisted]
Bird of Prey - Atrium [Iboga]
KarmasynK - Psylther [Swamp Music]
Mr. Bill - Shatter (Whitebear Remix) [Adapted]
Soulacybin - Moldavisions [Merkaba]

Wow, this is tasty. Always can count on your sets to hear some fresh psy music (which otherwise seems to be in a creative slump)

This was boss mate, really enjoyed it. I had it on in the background whilst writing so didnt pay full enough attention to give a detailed technical critique but will be getting more listens so will endeavour to give a more in depth review at some point

I havent heard Atrium in a long time. Great track.
There were a few others I'm going to have to hunt down what they were in the tracklist and buy them. |

I listened to this once in a dream that kept repeating. A fine line stitched between the hems of the dress that did not quite fit. The words fell out of my mouth but into place, a jumble fit for the morning. Our eyes parted fleetingly but met again as our thoughts danced above the tabletop. The inertia of it all, as you adjusted the speakers to fit around my head so I could hear each bass drop perfectly. It was like a barmitzvah of bass; I was assured. Your glycerine gleam bent my weak knees down into the trampled earth below us. "Keep listening," you ushered, "the good part will really get to you." I took in your words as though they were an inoculation against this moment from ever ending. I felt the psystep come up between my last hole and my best hole. I felt the psy be released into my virgin capillaries as I put my rebirth on pause.

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah it takes quite a bit of time but I try to find some of the less generic stuff and switch it up as much as I can.

Yeah, I wish I could make this whole mix out of Bird of Prey tracks, but I can't. :p
Still need to check out Ascension. , I keep saying that to all these replies in this thread, I need to get off my ass.

I wanted to like this, but unfortunately it didn't quite tickle my fancy :( Some of the tracks I absolutely loved, but others irritated me, and most of them were merely pleasant. No fault of your own - I fear this genre is just not my brand of gin. Mixing was good throughout, I thought, though (I'm not trying to piss on your parade here, btw, I just wanted to leave some feedback).

Eh, no worries, not always going to please everyone. I think because of how open this genre is, the different interpretations by all the other artists create a huge variety of soundscapes and ideas, and some of them may not be favorable to people who are more into classic trance vibes and stuff. Personally, the KarmasynK track is my least favorite, but with such a small pool of tracks to choose from, I felt I chose the best ones for what I was trying to do. Thanks for the listen anyways.
