This was a last minute decision to go to this and boy was I glad that I did.
Objectively: Best Trance Show so far this year
They are masters of Progressive Trance. There was perfect song choice and flow. They had oldies (2000-2004) and new tracks that I had never heard before. They mostly played progressive trance, but had some 140, uplifting, a tech track, progressive house, trouse, and an ambient track. The crowd was about what you expect at Cielo. Half were business or meatpacking trendy types and the other half were there for the DJ's. The good thing about that is, as the night goes on, many people start going home and there are only a few people left. By the end of the night, there were less than ten people on the dancefloor. At one point at around 3:45, it was just me and two other guys. I love the fact that stadiums of people would rather see Dash Berlin and Andrew Rayel instead of seeing trance legends Kyau & Albert. I personally went up to Kyau and asked him to play Heart on My Sleeve and he did. So much fun. They never come to New York, but when they do, I will be there. |
