Nothing wrong with posts about extreme conditions (cold/hot/rain) but I agree that those that CONSTANTLY whine about it are annoying.

Similar to how some 'news' networks these days dedicate so much of their hourly programming to the weather. I get it, it's cheap, free content - but what is the point of a 'meteorologist'? All these ppl do is take the info Environment Canada provides and rehash it. Big ing deal.

I'm pretty sure all meteorologists just use Ouija boards these days.

I'm over Facebook and never even got into Twitter. I ended up funneling all that social media energy into tumblr and Instagram though.

Nothing really. I just use Twitter to follow feeds that actually interest me, not as a list of friends or acquaintances, and I check Facebook maybe once a month since I'm only there because my wife asked me to get one.

I'm not even sure what the typical use case of Facebook is anymore...which age groups are really the most active on it? It seems like the people who are active are *super*-active and that there are a lot of middle-ageish people making political posts...but maybe those are just my relatives, lol.

- People posting links to unsubstantiated studies or "news" items. If you have time to post someone's story about how they were jumped for being gay, you have time to check to see whether the photo and caption are actually connected, or if you're just being trolled like the rest of the gullibles out there.

- Those who think they're making a positive impact on the world by posting a steady stream of anti-Monsanto, anti-oil, anti-government, global awareness, all-natural, save the lemurs, etc. By and large, all you're doing is littering the internet with poorly written/researched opinion pieces that largely fall on deaf ears. If you really want to make a change, give up that car you drive everywhere, and stop buying crap you don't need at Costco and Walmart, you giant hypocrite.

^^
These same people also tend to "join" every FB protest event that comes down the pike - you know, the kind where 10,000 people are invited, 4,000 say they're attending, and 150 actually show up.

I thought only women get carried away with Facebook. Swamp isn't this your second social media complaint thread? You seem quite bothered by it all.
