| Don't know why they changed the sound in there, it's definitely not what it used to be. Still a great, small, intimate vibe in that place. Looking forward. |

Yea man, the sound ing blows.
What I don't understand is why they expanded the WBs 'lounge' into a traditional club and refuse to host anything worthwhile in there. Who knows about whether the sound is up to par in there now that it's a bigger room, though. Meh. Whatever. Hope Sasha throws down. |

Sasha brought it last night. Much better this time around. The first half of his set was dope as . Maybe that's just because I'm a sucker for prog.
Oh, and Three wasn't so bad either lol. Venue still sucks, though. Sound is wayyyyy off. I hate not being able to hear layers in the music. |

Had a great time, and Sasha really brought it. Was hoping he would get dark and twisted and he delivered. Played a bunch of stuff I knew and also a couple tracks towards the end at 2:30 that were absolute bombs.

Unfortunately, what once used to be one of the best small room sound systems in the US (Three always stood behind this) is a shell of its former self. They've definitely removed a couple of the speakers from mid floor and the sound is nowhere near as crisp as it used to be. It sucks when you know a guy is rippin it like Sasha was and you can't hear all the layers, ranges and effects of tracks you know very well. I know a lot of money was invested into the Kennedy for parties like this, so why not do it there? Believe me, I'd much rather keep the shows at HPC but bring the sound back. Perhaps Busto or someone from there can answer this. |
