There is a 2 week old 41 page thread on KVR about this.
People seem to really like this synth, I tried it but it simply didn't seem useful to any of the styles of music I make (nothing uptempo). Same type of people like Dune/Dune 2 who like Sylenth1. |

Some very good sounds in this one. |

Dune 2 is pretty nice.
The layers available make it possible to create some very complex textures, and the FX/routing is nice too.
Definitely an upgrade from Dune |

How is the distortion? |

It ain't a Virus, but it's passable.
It's similar to the one in Sylenth, but with less harsh algorithms.
What's nice is they have two FX busses, each of which has draggable chaining order like Ozone. |

Starting to use this one around as much as Omnisphere but for different things. It has such a nice lush sound to it without being over the top. The filters and effects are really good, the depth of the unison functionality and polyphonic modulation is the best I have seen.
Yeah, dragable FX ftw. you have no idea how many other synths I wish had that :( |

Not really. Sculpture and the FM synth are great but that's it. ES2 is a total reject of a synth. I'm still on 9 though maybe they've made vast improvement with logic x |

The FM synth is very limited. There's a new synth in logic 10 thats called retrosynth and it has fm capabilities. I think you can do alot with ES2 imo. |
