It's always good to treat trance like your religion and get other people to find out the mighty wonders of it. I mean, don't be selfish and keep trance totally to yourself.
The other day a wonderful event occured in my life that made me proud of trance. I was walking out to my car after school when one of the "punk rocker" kids asked me for a ride home. I gladly said yes and when he got in the car I pulled out the secret weapon to blare out of my system...and that secret weapon of mine was:

When I put it in we listened to the long winding intro into the classic Breeder-Tyrantanic and then it took us on a musical journey through sound.
As soon as the beat cut in he was bobbin his head and smiling. And by the end of the song is was in a daze and remarked, "This stuff is putting me into a trance dude it kicks ass!"
I said, "This is trance music!"
He replied, "SO THIS IS THAT TRANCE YOU TALK ABOUT!?! DAMN IM HOOKED!!"
When I dropped him off I promised him I'd burn him a copy of the CD. It always feels good to win another person over to the power of trance music. Especially such of a mature style as Sasha and John Digweed! |

Yeah thats was a great story :gsmile:
My friends thinks that trance and techno are the same thing... they think it sounds like a broken german train going on full speed...
So I try to play some melodic/euro trance to make them see the light, discover the true power of trance...:toothless
Well they like the easy cheese trance but thats it :p
Sometimes I do tricks like the Jehovas would do... just go over to a friend, turn on the computer and but on some great set that step by step builds up to several climaxes...
Resistance is futile... *j/k*

| I find that trance is the most acceptable genre for everybody. Like I can play some stuff for a crowd that likes diffrent types of music, and most people will really enjoy what they are hearing. The only group of people I have encountered with a stereotypical view of trance is the "hip-hoppers". I think there's some message in urban cultue that anything that isnt made from from the same tried and true mold will suck so they automaticly reject it. |

| trance is compatible with many music genres, but not with hip-hop. it's almost impossible to like both genres |

| trance is not my religion.....i'm a christian first and foremost but I am addicted to listening to trance. I like it and if other ppl don't like it....don't bother me a bit.....but I tell ppl not to slag it because they don't know about it. |
