Super small world...

Found out today that my art history teacher's mom grew up in the same town as my mom did. I asked her about it after class and she was totally surprised, as was I, she even called her mom and asked about my family and sure enough they knew who my grandfather was. He was a community leader, started the fire department, airport, sat on bank commissions, and owned a large orchard. My art history teacher is half Japanese American and there were a lot of Japanese orchard owners in the area when WWII broke out and my grandfather and a few other orchard owners in the area bought up all the orchards of the Japanese who were interned and then sold them back to their rightful owners for like $1 after the war was over.
Her mom said that her family looked with great admiration on my grandfather and said they consider us family...
Crazy man. My teachers response at the end "WE'RE PRACTICALLY COUSINS!".
Yea she is a bit odd.
Anyways, that is definitely one of the most insane "its a small world" moments I've ever had. Anyone got any that can top that? |

| International jewry is out to shape the whole world in their order, on their whims, causing the world to implode in on itself. The world will be nothing then. Less then nothing. So small it will not exist. International jewry will do this. Top that. |

| Umm I find the title of this thread kind of stupid. You're all from Washington State, and most likely the same region in Washington state. Aren't the chances that her family knows yours, in that case, quite high? I don't think you get to make any "small world" claims here. Sorry. |

| If you thought this thread was anything other than a thinly veiled attempt by Nou to showcase how "important" his family is, then you are a n00b. |

She grew up in Colorado, never knew her family was from Oregon, and the town my mom's family and her mom's family is from is very small.
Also there are you know, several million people in this part of the country... so yea. |

Or you know you could actually contribute to starting a conversation around here, even if it is a somewhat self-serving first post. Instead you are a just a boring bitch with nothing to contribute anymore... |

| When I lived in Switzerland and ran into a childhood friend from Morocco when I was taking the Tram. I hadn't seen her in eons and didn't recognize her at first but she recognized me. She was living there as well, about 10 blocks away from my house lol. |

| Small world is banging a broad and her telling you afterward that she gave a child she named Clifford up for adoption in her tweens. |
