$140 for two days of a lineup like that seems very normal to me. What do you expect it to be? It is a business afterall... |
Just slightly annoyed by the fact that you have to buy both days. Makes it hard to day trip. Their prerogative to price it at a point to maximize profits but I know I'm not the only one who will pass if they keep it this way. |

To be fair their revenue is $120 per person, not $140 since the you fee goes to the ticketing firm. Lineups like that are not cheap...most of those DJs command a good amount of money I'd assume. |

If i didnt have the time of my life in Detroit i wouldve been all over this 2 day pass, so i guess i did spoil myself...also its a shorter event than last yr for more $$
Also G.I. itself is a ripoff venue..tight security, super expensive bar & food with horrible choices |

Honestly outside of the top 3 maybe 4...booking fees are fairly cheap (relatively) for these kind of names if they are already in the US (not to say talent isn't top notch.) Would be no complaints for me if you had the option to single day for $60-$75. |

Oh for sure! I bet though, as the Detroit afterglow wears off, and this thing gets closer and closer, that a lot of the people that are blowing this off will magically find a ticket to go...
But even Detroit was a lot more money this year than last. I spent $230 on a VIP ticket. In 2012 I spent $160 and in 2011, $120. went WAYYY up. Afterparties went from 15 back in 2011 to 30 this year. That's the house/techno scene in general. Simple economics...the demand is getting bigger and bigger for the underground music...there's still only a limited amount of big-name DJs..AND fans of this music want those big-name DJs at the events, especially festival-like shows like this one.
Look at all the new cruises that feature electronic music...a new All Gone Pete Tong one just materialized for later this year (and a good portion of the lineup is actually damn good)...prices are just going to keep going up because the demand for good music keeps going up. Sucks if you've been in the scene for years but it's reality. |

But how expensive is it to book something at G.I.? I have no idea the figure but I know that anything real-estate related in NYC is $$$ compared to the rest of the U.S. And I still say the company throwing this party does deserve to make a profit. But I hear you on the single day passes. Who knows, they might have trouble moving the amount of tickets they want to and could come out with single days. But I'd be they'd be $75+. |

I think that is what will happen. Friday of EZOOs lineup is bigger and is about that price. |

What about the tickets up on Resident Advisor? They seem pretty offical. And the hard copies that were given out to promoters. That disclaimer just seems a bit silly. |

BOOM! - about $77 bucks for saturday. I would reallly like to see pan-pot again, but I can only imagine how whack the crowd will be like on Sunday for CL, Moudaber, tommy47, and monoloc. |

considering the first round two-day pass was only 89 bucks, that's some difference.
