who played the after party??? the last after party sucked balls so I skipped it this time around... will go if Seth is playing...

I heard it from some people, then Maceo and his manager at Old Miami when I was chatting with them, but they were not sure which one. Who knows, but I was def excited.

Afterparty was pretty clutch, didn't get there till about 1:30, Tennis and Jonny White going B2B, some great music, and I'm not even a huge AD fan! You just knew when Tennis was on, some crazy tracks. There was one German vocal track that looped over and over and he kept pushing it and pushing it till eventually kicked it back in and the place went off! Only complaint about the party was the girl at the back bar, who took 20 mins to try to serve people at last call, then at 2am, pretty much told everyone to off, go cry some where else and then proceeded to break down and cry behind the bar for another 10 mins while people waited to get water. I've had nothing but amazingly friendly service from Coda bartenders, this was shocking to me. And I was pissed because we just got there, went straight to the bar, waited 20mins, and still didn't get a drink. :(

I think everyone is getting so picky with expecting everything to be perfect at their optimum taste. Sound, people, weather.

Sort of, but like you said these parties just keep improving each time. It's really professional the way these guys listen to and act on our feedback. I think from an organization stand point, this one was perfect. I personally can't think of anything to find fault with, other than personal experience of the music.

Yeah, whatever is in their control. Weather, can't be helped (great weather). But I read some things about he people who were there, snobby, aggressive or just there for the party and not the music. That's not the fault of the organizers. Sound is in the hands of the organizers, but I feel their hands are tied by restraints we don't know about. People's choice of music, well, that is what makes not only our music, but music in general so amazing. It's all in the ear of the beholder. Some days you're feeling this, other days you're feeling another. Some people listen to this music on the weekends, others are huge nerds like us who live and eat this music. Which is great that there is a variety of people booked, all a bit different. So many factors to your personal enjoyment of the music, friends (main one IMO), weather, sleep, attitude!

Yup friends 100%! :D

Really curious to hear from Alex, Joel or Jon regarding the sound. Obviously they are sound restrictions in the area but the sound was incredibly weak this time. It was near impossible to get into unless you were literally standing right next to a speaker stack. The quality was really on point but the level was not acceptable imo. 40 minutes before the end of the party it got bumped up to half decent volume so I know it could've been louder earlier on in the day. If it was like this earlier on then there would be hardly a reason to even mention the sound.

Aside from that, it was nice to see more food trucks, porta potties and a much better visual setup on the stage. Exciting to think about what we'll be see in the next couple parties and future summers.

See you guys in August!

Pretty much my thoughts as well! The levels were really really low. I feel this party would've been a ton more fun if the music levels were higher. I wasn't able to get into the music at all. Really enjoyed The Martinez Brothers set though. I left around 10ish so I didn't catch Dixon's full set.

There were also only 2-3 ATMs in just 1 area. I had to withdraw and had to wait in line for 20+ minutes. More ATMs please! Also the food truck lines looked pretty long. Not sure if that DD RFID system is worth implementing for these events?

Come on, more atms? After how many years of going out, you still can't budget ahead and withdraw enough cash before you enter the park? Do you want someone to wait outside the port a potties and wipe your ass for you too, when you're done? Lol.

I'm not a penny pincher when I go out partying. I ran out of cash so I needed to withdraw more money. Lol I don't push myself on meeting my partying budgets. Life ain't that bad just yet! :p

Haha, I keed. I'm really just commenting on our collective spoiledness. ;)
