I say you both stray outside your comfort zone and hit up J00F at Sankeys. He's doing a legendary 8 hour set, which is something he hasn't done in over 10 years.
Any of the other parties around that night you can see any other time, they're all DJs that come and go all the time. The J00F show is something spectacular and not to be missed. It might be a once in a lifetime opportunity. |

very good points all, esp. about people's comfort zone.
having said that, how come I've never seen you at a Rrose set (or DeWalta's for that matter)?
:)
& you just helped me make the choice between this and DT/SS much easier. While SS doesn't seem to be here so much, I'm hoping that his p-room set doesn't count as the make-up for the cancelled Bunker limited party (which he was supposed to make up sometime this year). |

I've actually seen Rrose. Wasn't a huge fan of his (her?) set. It was only a festival set, though; I'd be willing to give it another go.
That being said, I live 2 hours away and it costs at least $50 just to get to the city for me, so I can't be coming down every weekend, unfortunately. Otherwise you'd see me out of my element a lot more =) |

| Still at a major crossroads here!! I hear some Output then I hear once in a lifetime JOOF. I come from an LA crowd of washing machines for those who know that that's what happens at trance shows. Another plan is to go to a bar with just some house music. |

Just to throw in my 2 cents...
I can't wait for the ZERO boat party... my friends are hype about it... so, it's rubbing off on me.
JOOF? Well, I have a bad taste in my mouth about esscala events... So, legend or not, I am passing on JOOF.
The ZERO Boat party supposedly says they will have a after-party (which will be announced at the boat party), so.. gonna hope that is gonna be a good one...
Otherwise, it's gonna be: Output afterwards for DT
BTW, the roof at output was surprisingly IMPRESSIVE! @-@ |

I only meant it as a nudge-in-the-ribs, sorry, no accusation intended, and forgot about the distance, CT if I remember...?
Rrose doesn't play very long sets, but the almost 2h set earlier this year was really nice, def. check it again (thought the Moma event won't allow much more than one hour per)
as mentioned another one worth checking out (in action, not via internet) is DeWalta, liked every set seen so far.
Recently was talking to someone who also was at the NYE/NYD Output event, and asked her if she saw (and liked) the DeWalta set. Said she didn't think she saw. But when I asked if she did Panther Room at all, told me she did a lot of the afternoon. When I told her it was the set right before Bella Saris', she was like, oh that one, that was really good....

there's so much more to Berlin than Bh. (meant in a good way), and it's great when someone brings that here too. |

| I'll check him (her? still confused on that) and DeWalta out for sure, I'm always looking for new artists to jam to. |

Stacey Pullen on Friday. He absolutely murdered it at Movement Festival on the first night to close out the Detroit stage. Man I wish I could somehow be at Marquee that night. And this party totally fits what you're looking for IMO. |
I listened to his Movement set yesterday, some real beastly gems in that set! |

| Tonight, Friday the 6th prog house up and comers from Canada Project 46 @ Melrose Ballroom. It's in Astoria but don't worry it's just a matter of getting on the N/Q train and getting off at 36th Ave. |
