Ferry Corsten Essential Mix?

| dont u think ferry corsten deserves an EM??? i mean he IS the one and only true representer of uplifting trance!!! hasn't changed his style(unlike dj "i cant beatmatch" tiesto), very consistant and keeps the uplifting trance scene fresh and alive...i understand armin has his isot show so its unlikely for him to do an EM, but corsten really need to show these non believers what real trance is all about.... |

I'm not saying he doesnt deserve one, he is one of my favorite DJ's.
But isnt that series mainly for Prog DJs? |

The Essential Mix isn't only for progressive DJ's. I wouldn't call Tim Deluxe and Roger Sanchez progressive... Groove Armada will do the Essential Mix this weekend. Again not very progressive.
I guess the Essential Mix is meant for DJ's who stand out in their genre. That's why Tiësto did an EM for trance (though his mix wasn't exactly all trance. Maybe he got invited because of his diverse style), Marco V will do one probably for tek-trance/techno and Richie Hawtin and Sven Väth will do a techno EM in november.
But to answer the question: does Ferry Corsten deserves an EM? Hell yeah! He's one of the biggest (and most important) trance producers out there, so let's give him an EM. |

Anyway it isnt that simple. Some DJs like armin, ferry etc are very busy, and would find it hard to do an EM. Im sure they have been offered to do one by radio1. But u seem to forget how busy these guys are :)
