Spend some time trying to recreate a sound in one synth with another (assuming they have similar architectures).

You'll have to really tweak a lot, and it'll help you understand certain nuances a lot more than recreating it in the same synth.

worked in manhattan yet in the desert.

oh , and the most important thing to really learn is a controller. The biggest shortcomings i see with producers is their inability to make sounds change. So get used to mapping out parameters. you will learn much quicker how things react. And you will be more comfortable eisgning things knowing that they can go from here to there.

Thanks for the help everyone :D

do what the synth wants you to do with it. Build gradually.. Listen to the harmonics.. the voices..

What does your synth tell you ?

LOL.

no for real.. your synth will tell you how it wants to be touched.. It will tell you what buttons to push.. how it wants to be modulated, and stimulated. It'll tell you what it likes.. it will tell you how many oscillators you need and how much sustain and release, what kind of attack. Build your synth from the ground to the top.. slowly.. cant just flip on everything and expect it to sound orgasmic..

Did you forget to take your medication?

Is it possible those voices or directions are coming from your screen and are poltergeist
PaULiN0
Yes, I quite agree, must be a case of the supernatural.
